Installing ARK Mods
Mods via Steam Workshop
ARK mods are installed using Steam Workshop IDs:
- Find the mod on Steam Workshop
- Copy the Workshop ID from the URL
- Add the ID to your server config

Mod Order
The order of the mods in ActiveMods is important:
- Overhaul mods (e.g. Primal Fear) first
- Quality-of-life mods afterwards
- Cosmetic mods last
Updating Mods
Mods are updated automatically when the server restarts. At game-serverhosting.de, you can enable auto-updates in the dashboard.
Common Problems
- Mod does not load: Check the Workshop ID, restart the server
- Crash after mod update: Check whether the mods are compatible with each other
- Players cannot join: Players must have subscribed to the same mods
